Terms of Service

Operated by SAB Weblabs Private Limited. Effective 3 October 2026. Updated 6 October 2026.

The short version

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You are responsible for what you post. Polls are public. Your votes are private.
  • Do not post anything illegal, abusive or misleading, and do not manipulate votes.
  • We may hide content, warn, suspend or ban accounts that break the rules. You can complain to our Grievance Officer.
  • Poll results show what the people who voted think. They are not scientific surveys.
  • You can delete your account at any time.
  • OPNYON is provided as it is, and our liability is limited as set out below. Indian law applies, and the courts at Hyderabad decide disputes.
  • Asking is open to invited members for now. Anyone can vote.

This summary is only a guide. The full Terms below apply.

1. These Terms

OPNYON is run by SAB Weblabs Private Limited, a company incorporated in India, with its registered office at 708, 7th Floor, SBR's Siri Tech Park, Old Mumbai Highway, Gachibowli, Hyderabad - 500104 (CIN U72300TG2014PTC094178). In these Terms, "OPNYON", "we" and "us" mean that company. These Terms are a contract between you and us. They cover our website at www.opnyon.com and our mobile apps (together, the "Service").

Read them together with our Privacy Policy. Both are part of the contract.

By creating an account, or by continuing to use the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and need no signature.

2. Who can use OPNYON

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up. We may refuse or delete an account that does not meet this rule.
  • You may have one account. Do not make more accounts to vote more than once, to avoid a limit, or to get around a suspension or a ban.
  • Give accurate information, and keep it up to date.
  • You may not use the Service if we have banned you before, or if the law stops you.

3. Your account

You sign in with a code sent to your email, or with your Google account. Keep your email account secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account, except where it is our fault. Tell us at support@opnyon.com as soon as you think someone else has used it.

Your username has 4 to 20 lowercase letters and numbers. We may refuse or change a name that copies someone else, is offensive, infringes someone's rights, or is reserved. When an account is deleted, its username is retired for good, and nobody can use it again.

Your display name and photo must not mislead people about who you are.

We will send you service messages, such as login codes and important notices about your account or these Terms. You cannot turn off the ones we need to send.

Check marks and tags. We decide who gets a check mark or a tag (such as Creator or Athlete), and we can change or remove them at any time. A check mark means OPNYON has confirmed the account. A tag describes the person. Neither means we agree with what the person says, and nobody is entitled to one because they describe themselves that way. If we check who someone is to give one, we keep only what we need, for as long as our Privacy Policy and the law allow.

4. What you post

It stays yours. You keep the rights in what you post.

What you give us. When you post, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, resize, show and share your content on and through the Service. That includes feeds, search, notifications, link previews and share sheets. We may let our service providers do these things for us. The licence lasts while your content is on OPNYON. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for: copies in backups until they expire; copies other people have already shared; and records we keep for safety or legal reasons.

Public by default. Polls, and the username, display name, photo and bio of the person who posted them, can be seen by anyone, even without an account. Your votes are private.

Who can ask. We may make asking available only to invited members, and we can limit, pause or end anyone's access to ask, cancel invites, and change how many invites a member has. An invite works once, for one person, and expires after a limited time, currently 7 days. Do not sell or trade invites. Having access to ask does not mean we agree with you or your polls.

What you promise. You own your content or have the right to post it. It does not break the law or these Terms. You have the permission of any person shown in a picture. You do not post other people's private information.

Your responsibility. You are legally responsible for what you post. If it breaks the law, you can face legal action from the person affected or from the authorities, and we will give your details to the authorities where the law requires.

What we do and do not do. OPNYON hosts content that people post. We are an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000. We do not write or approve what users post, and we do not check everything. We are not responsible for it, but we act on reports, complaints and legal orders, as described below.

What you may see. Because anyone can post, you may see content you find offensive, inaccurate or upsetting. Polls show the opinions of the people who posted and voted, and we do not endorse them. You use OPNYON at your own risk.

When you add a place to a poll, you choose where the question is relevant. The place is not your location.

5. Voting and results

Each account can vote once on a poll. The person who asks a question chooses how long voting stays open (1 to 14 days) and whether results show straight away or after voting closes.

A poll shows what the people who chose to vote think. It is not a scientific survey and does not represent everyone. Results are not representative polling, an election forecast or market research, and should not be presented as such. Do not rely on it for important decisions.

Play fair. Do not use bots, scripts, extra accounts, bought votes or organised tricks to change a result. We may remove votes we believe are manipulated and correct the totals.

Nobody else can see how you voted: not other users and not the person who asked the poll. We use voting records only to count votes, stop duplicate or fake voting, keep OPNYON safe and meet legal duties. If you delete your account, your votes are removed from the totals of other people's polls.

6. What is not allowed

The IT Rules 2021 require us to tell you what you must not post. Do not post, share or do any of the following.

  • Content that belongs to someone else, which you have no right to post.
  • Obscene or sexual content, anything involving the sexual abuse of children, or anything that invades another person's privacy.
  • Hateful, racist, harassing or insulting content, or content that promotes gambling or money laundering.
  • Anything harmful to children.
  • Content that infringes a patent, trademark, copyright or other right.
  • Anything that breaks a law in force in India.
  • Information you know to be false or misleading, or that misleads people about where a message comes from.
  • Pretending to be another person.
  • Content that threatens India's unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty, its friendly relations with other countries, or public order. Content that encourages a crime. Content that incites violence between religious or caste groups.
  • Viruses, or code meant to damage or limit the Service.

Our own rules add:

  • No threats, bullying or targeting a person or a small group.
  • No false statements that damage a real person's reputation.
  • No sharing of other people's private details, such as addresses or phone numbers.
  • No spam, scams or adverts.
  • No unauthorised automated access or scraping, and no attempts to break into or overload the Service. Search engines and link previews that follow our rules are fine.
  • No selling or arranging illegal goods or services, such as drugs, weapons or gambling.
  • No promoting violent or hateful groups, or celebrating violent attacks.
  • No encouraging suicide or self-harm.
  • No logging in to, or trying to get into, another person's account.
  • No synthetic or manipulated media (pictures, videos or audio that are generated or edited, including by AI) that is likely to mislead people or cause harm. We may label, restrict or remove such content.
  • No misleading people about when, where or how to take part in an election, and no using OPNYON to interfere with an election.
  • No web links, program code or database commands in polls, display names or bios.
  • No helping others to break these rules.

7. Political and sensitive polls

We may limit, hold for review or remove polls about politics, religion or caste that could stir up conflict or break the law. During an election, we may pause political polls in a state or region for as long as the law or the election authority requires.

8. How we moderate

We look at reports, run our own checks, and act on legal orders. We may hide or remove content, reduce how far it is shown, send a warning, limit features, suspend an account for a time, or ban it. We may do this with or without warning where it is urgent.

When we hide your poll or warn you, we tell you in your Notifications and give the reason, unless the law or safety stops us.

If you think we got it wrong, write to our Grievance Officer within 30 days with the details. If you are not satisfied with the Grievance Officer's decision, you can appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee set up under the IT Rules (gac.gov.in), within 30 days of that decision, or if you have had no reply within 30 days.

We keep a record of the actions we take.

We may keep, look at and share information where we need to: to obey the law or a legal order, to enforce these Terms, to stop fraud or security problems, to answer support requests, or to protect people's safety. We handle personal data as our Privacy Policy describes.

At least once every three months we will remind you of these rules and of what can happen if you break them: your content can be removed, your account can be suspended or ended, and the law may impose penalties or require us to report certain offences.

9. Reporting, blocking and complaints

You can report any poll or profile from its menu. You can also block a person. A person you block cannot follow you or vote on your polls, their polls are hidden from you, and they are not told.

Complaints. Write to our Grievance Officer: Ravi Kumar Budama, 708, 7th Floor, SBR's Siri Tech Park, Old Mumbai Highway, Gachibowli, Hyderabad - 500104, support@opnyon.com. We will:

  • acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours;
  • resolve it within 7 days;
  • resolve complaints about content that is not allowed under section 6 within 36 hours;
  • remove or block, within 2 hours of a complaint, content that shows a person in nudity or a sexual act, or that is a faked, edited or impersonating picture of them, when the complaint comes from that person or on their behalf.

Legal orders. We act on valid orders from a court or the government within the time the law sets, which is currently 3 hours.

The OPNYON name, logo, design and software belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive licence, which you cannot transfer, to use our website and apps for yourself, under these Terms. You may not copy, sell, reverse engineer or build on them, or use the OPNYON name or logo, without our written permission.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without paying you or crediting you.

If you find a security problem, please report it to support@opnyon.com and give us reasonable time to fix it before you tell anyone else.

If you believe a poll infringes your copyright or other rights, write to our Grievance Officer with: what the work is, where the poll is, your contact details, a statement that you are acting in good faith, and proof that you own the rights or act for the owner. We may remove the content and tell the person who posted it. We may end the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.

11. Other services

Sign in with Google is provided by Google, under Google's terms. Our apps are delivered through app stores that have their own terms. We are not responsible for websites or services that people link to in polls.

12. Ending your account

If you want to leave. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, under Privacy. Your profile and polls are hidden at once and you are signed out. For 30 days you can sign in again and choose "Restore account". After 30 days we permanently delete your profile, photos, polls, votes, follows, saves and notifications, and your votes are removed from the totals of other people's polls. Indian law requires us to keep the information you gave when you registered, such as your email address, for 180 days after you delete your account. We keep it private and use it only to meet legal duties, and then delete it. We also keep limited records where we need them for safety or legal reasons, as the Privacy Policy explains.

If we end your access. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, put others or us at risk, or the law requires it. We will try to tell you by email or the next time you sign in. If you think we ended your access by mistake, write to our Grievance Officer. If we are reviewing a report about your account, or it is suspended or banned, we may hold the final deletion until the review ends.

After the end. Sections that are meant to continue, such as those on content licences, limits of liability and disputes, continue after your account ends.

13. No promises about the Service

We work to keep OPNYON running and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will always be available, error free or secure, that poll results are accurate, or that what people post is true.

14. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, data or goodwill.
  • We are not liable for what other users post or do.
  • Our total liability for any claim connected with the Service is limited to ₹10,000.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

15. If you cause us a loss

You will compensate us for losses, claims and reasonable legal costs that arise from your content, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of the law.

16. Governing law and disputes

Indian law governs these Terms. If you have a dispute, please first contact our Grievance Officer so we can try to fix it. If it is not resolved, the courts at Hyderabad, India, have jurisdiction, except where the law lets you bring a claim elsewhere, for example before a consumer forum. Your rights under any law that cannot be waived stay in place.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version on our website and show a notice in OPNYON at least 15 days before a material change takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the change. If you do not accept it, you can delete your account.

18. General

  • These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us.
  • If part of them is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to a successor of our business.
  • We may send notices by an in-app notice, by posting on our website, or by email to the address on your account.
  • Some features may have extra terms. If so, we will show them with the feature, and they apply together with these Terms.
  • If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
